Recordings of SRMS meetings

Recordings of our online meetings commenced in January 2021. In September 2025, we also started to make recordings of our meetings at St Denys.

To allow us to play recorded music at these meetings, the Southampton Recorded Music Society pays annual fees via the Federation of Recorded Music Societies to the Performing Rights Society (PRS) and Phonographic Performances Ltd (PPL). Access to videos of our meetings is therefore limited to members of the society, who have been advised of the required password.

Since late 2021, we have made a habit of replacing the audio and video contained in the Zoom recordings with the original audio and video files. This provides a higher quality experience, not least because Zoom recordings are limited to mono sound. We also do the same for our recordings of meetings at St Denys.
